January should see the £16 computer, the Raspberry Pi, go into production.

The first ten devices will be auctioned to the highest bidder.

The ARM-based computer will be produced in multiple factories and comes in two versions – with Ethernet for £22 and without Ethernet for £16.

The general public will be able to order the device in January 2012. Pre-orders are not being accepted.
