Tektronix Communications has completed the acquisition of Arbor Networks, a supplier of security and management systems for networks and next-generation data centres.
Tektronix has been on the acquisition trail for the last year or so as it looks to expand its test systems in areas such as network security, RF, video and benchtop instruments.
Dave Ireland, European marketing manager at Tektronix told EW in April: “There will be acquisitions as well as organic growth.”
In April Tektronix acquired SyntheSys Research, a California-based company manufacturing high-speed signal integrity test and measurement instrumentation for the storage and communications markets.
The important technology is the company’s BERTScope signal integrity system.
Last October, Tektronix bought the test business from Sypris Solutions for $39m.
US-based Sypris Test & Measurement providing of calibration services, as well as testing and component sourcing services to markets which range from military/aerospace to the semiconductor industry.
The terms of the Arbor acquisition were not disclosed.
