What will the next ten years look like? Who will be shaping the future? What will our electronically enabled industries be capable of and how must organisations work together to deliver the potential? What are the barriers, both technical and non-technical, that lie in our way and what hazards must we navigate?
These are the questions addressed by the Future World Symposium, a two day conference and showcase that aims to address the "connected, smart and electronically-enabled worlds of innovation, opportunity and challenge".
It takes place on the 15th and 16th of September at Lords Cricket Ground (London NW8 8QN).
The organisers write:
"The digital age is disruptive; it is global, it is mainstream and it is very much upon us. The world we live in today is significantly different to just twenty years ago and connecting into the cloud of capability unleashes unprecedented opportunity for innovation to reshape almost every avenue of our lives. Digital technologies are at the very heart of social, economic and political change. The trend is set to continue as products and services proliferate, advanced economies consider access to the Internet a fundamental utility and emerging economies seek advances in education, health provision, communications and the multitude of benefits on offer."
