Bangor, North Wales, based sensor company DeepStream Technologies is looking for 30 staff.

"The firm is advertising 15 mechanical and software engineering roles to help set up a new business unit from scratch," said DeepStream. "We are hiring further staff for a variety of roles in existing business units to support the full launch of 3D-shaped circuits for DeepStream's first major customer, Moeller Automation, as part of a four-year, $16m contract announced in April 2008."

The jobs include: patent engineer, design engineer, electronic design engineer, mechanical design engineer, moulding engineer and laser engineer, as well as tooling manager, programme manager, test technician and production supervisor.

"The economic downturn appears to be fuelling a greater focus on green technologies, with both the US and UK governments identifying it as a growth industry for the next decade," said CEO Mark Crosier.
