Cree has annouced commercial availability of an LED lighting module which is capable of delivering 80-lumens-per-watt system efficacy combined with CRI greater than 90.

The modules features the supplier's TrueWhite technology for generating white light with LEDs.

"The new modules make the benefits of Cree TrueWhite Technology affordable and widely available," said Mike Watson, senior director of marketing, Cree LED components.

"Only Cree enables our customers with the latest LED modules that combine 80 LPW efficacy with 90+ CRI," said Watson.

The LMH2 is available at 850 and 1250 lumens and in colour temperatures of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K with more than 90 CRI.

The two-piece LMH2 module, which separates the light source and power supply, is designed to allow manufacturers to incorporate their luminaire design into the thermal management system and potentially eliminating the need of secondary thermal management.

Designed for 50,000 hours of operation and dimmable to 5%, the LMH2 comes with a five-and-a-half year warranty.

The LMH2 is also UL-recognised and complies with multiple international regulatory and safety standards.
