Avnet Memec is showing the results of a collaboration with Ka-Ro and kernel concepts at Embedded World this week.
The result is the WarpComm, a Marvell processor-based development platform for a QSeven standard computer board which has full Linux operating system support and the µCross tool chain.
According to Jon Ellis, v-p technical marketing at Avnet Memec: “This collaboration is a clear example of why Europe is still at the forefront of product innovation.”
The WarpComm kit is based on the Ka-Ro TK71 QSeven single board computer. This is built around the ARM-compliant 88F6281 1.2GHz Kirkwood processor from Marvell.
It has a custom Linux OS image on board.
The hardware will ship with a light version of the µCross embedded Linux distribution from kernel concepts.
This includes a cross-compiler suite and SDK, configuration for OpenOCD JTAG in-system debugger and UBoot boot-loader source code.
The Linux Kernel source code is v2.6.32 or later.
