Texas Instruments has introduced two Class-D audio amplifiers that are capable of driving 600W.

TI claims this is the highest stereo output power in the industry.

The TAS5630 and TAS5631 make use of TI’s closed-loop architecture, the amplifiers integrate PurePath HD technology which has audio bandwidth above 73kHz.

The TAS5630 and TAS5631 offer 300W stereo or 600W mono output power at greater than 88% efficiency.

THD is 0.03% at 1W into 4ohm load (stereo) means distortion is low at normal listening levels.

The amplifiers are pin compatible with the supplier’s TAS5615 and TAS5616 150W stereo amplifiers.
