Wireless mesh networks specialist Ember has appointed Texim Europe and Ismosys as channel partners for its ZigBee networking systems.
Ember is hopeful of taking advantage of a boom in wireless metering in Europe.
The expectation is that new European regulations will change the way utility companies and their customers manage energy and water consumption in residential and commercial buildings.
According to Nigel Watts, managing director of UK-based Ismosys, Ember has one of the most-widely deployed ZigBee platforms in the market.
Ismosys, last year, became the trading name of the Oxfordshire-based semiconductor rep organisation Spectrum Electronics Group.
It adopted a slightly different approach to the sales channel, combining traditional representation services with more distributor-like services such as selective inventory holding and product shipments.
