Marvell saw sales in the fourth quarter, ended January 30, 2010, jump by 64% to $843m compared with the same quarter a year earlier.
Marvell, which is the developer of the Armada processor designed for next generation ARM instruction set smartphones, embedded devices and displays, said Q4 was also 5% up on Q3.
Full year revenues were $2.81bn, a decrease of 5% on the previous year. Net income for the year was $648m.
"The results for our fourth quarter and fiscal year bring to a close one of the most challenging but successful years for Marvell," said Dr. Sehat Sutardja, Marvell's chairman and CEO.
Last month, Marvell amnnounced the Armada 618 application processor for smartphones which is designed to support 1080p full-HD encode and decode.
There is also an integrated 3D engine that renders 45 million triangles per second.
