Rohde & Schwarz, the mobile test system specialist, is working with Cambridge-based software firm Qasara to support the testing of next generation 3G LTE mobile phone systems.
The companies aim to verify a complete LTE protocol stack by demonstrating inter-operability between Rohde & Schwarz’s 3GPP LTE Virtual Tester and Qasara’s LTE compliant UE protocol stack.
“This joint programme announced today will enhance both company’s LTE products and also support the 3GPP LTE standardisation and trial process,” said Anton Messmer, director of mobile radio testers at Rohde & Schwarz.
Both companies plan to make the results of this ongoing verification programme available through the 3GPP standardisation process.
Qasara is a developer of cellular protocol stacks used in mobile phones. It was formed earlier this year former TTPCom engineers.
