Atmel is recruiting a Atmel Senior Applications & Hardware Engineer. Based in Whiteley, it is a full-time, permanent role. It is just one among a number of positions available.

A summary of responsibilities includes:
• Provide expert level Customer application support for Atmel’s capacitive Touch products.
• Lead the development and characterising of the next generation of capacitive touch screen products.
• To create and maintain software and hardware solutions in support of assigned customer projects
• Develop custom Embedded C code as required in support of Customers projects.
• To work closely with other Team Leaders and other Application team members locally and worldwide to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects
• Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new Products
• Keep updated with the latest developments in technologyDuties:
• Provide a Technical interface to customers remotely and at their sites as required. Which will require European and international travel
• Participate in team design reviews as appropriate
• Facilitate schematic & BOM creation
