Distributor Nu Horizons has announced a number of suppliers for LED products in the US.
The firm said it will supply Osram’s discrete and module LEDs, LED drivers from Allegro Microsystems, Ixys, Linear Technology, Micrel Semiconductor, ON Semiconductor, Sipex, STMicroelectronics and Supertex.
The firm will also supply thermal management technology Cooler Master, optics by LEDiL and integrated LED modules from OptoElectronix.
“Implementing LED lighting technology is more involved than finding the latest and greatest LED,” said Rita Megling, senior v-p of marketing for Nu Horizons.
“We’ve based our strategy on the fact that LED lighting systems are comprised of multiple subsystems, each interacting with the other to affect the system’s overall performance,” added Megling.
