CMP buys UK-based microwave filter maker

Ceramic & Microwave Products (CMP) has announced that it has acquired BSC Filters, the York-based microwave and RF filter supplier.

CMP, which is part of the US-based Dover Group, is also the owner of capacitor maker Syfer Technology which has operations in Norfolk.

“The combination of BSC’s European presence and the CMP sales team gives us the opportunity to better serve our customers and grow together in Europe and beyond,” said Dave Wightman, president of CMP.

According to Martyn Lee, managing director of BSC Filters: “Being part of CMP gives BSC the resources to support and continue our strong growth performance.”

CMP is a manufacturer of filters, switches, capacitors and related products used in engineered military, telecom, medical and industrial applications. 

Its group of companies are Dielectric Laboratories Inc., Dow-Key Microwave, K&L Microwave, Pole/Zero Corporation, Syfer Technology, Novacap and Voltronics Corporation.
