Intersil has announced the appointment of Masayuki Wajima to the position of vice president, Japan Sales.
Wajima will be responsible for driving all aspects of Intersil’s success in Japan, including strengthening key customer relationships, growing revenues and increasing market penetration.
“Wajima-san’s extensive experience as a sales executive in Japan will be very valuable to Intersil as we continue to grow our business in this region of the world,” said David Loftus, Intersil’s senior vice president of worldwide sales and corporate marketing.
Prior to joining Intersil, Wajima was president of National Semiconductor Japan, and Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for National Semiconductor.
He also held various executive positions at Conexant, including an executive sales position, President of Conexant Japan in Tokyo. Prior to these roles, he held design engineering and sales and marketing management roles at Hitachi.
Located at Intersil’s corporate office in Tokyo, Japan, Wajima will be Intersil’s top sales executive in Japan.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Meiji University in Japan and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.
