A delegation of Chinese Government officials and technology companies are in the UK this week looking for technology expertise and business partnerships.
The Chinese delegation will meet with a number of British firms in London and then spend a week visiting technology clusters in Cambridge and Scotland.
The programme is part of a UK-China partnership in ICT, facilitated by UKTI, to encourage ICT collaboration between the two countries.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has gone on record with a target to double UK exports to China to $10bn by 2010.
“The UK and China’s business, economic and cultural links have never been stronger," claimed Minister for Trade, Investment and Business Lord Davies of Abersoch, who met with the Chinese delegation this week.

“The ICT sector has been creating a large amount of trade and investment in both China and UK. I am convinced there's a big space for the two countries to further develop, especially in the ICT field through various kinds of cooperation," said China Academy of Telecommunications Research, MIIT President Yang Zemin.
The China-UK partnership programme is sponsored by Amino, Arm, BT, Innovision, NDS, Sondrel, Sony Ericsson, UM and Vodafone.
