Display Solution is selling USB 3.0 display controllers from DisplayLink in the European market.

DisplayLink DL-3000 uses adaptive compression technology applied to the 5Gbit/s transfer speeds of USB 3.0 to support high resolution graphics, video and gaming on dual HD displays.

“Since last year we see new embedded PC boards supporting USB 3.0,” said Norbert Feuchtgruber, CEO at Germany-based Display Solution AG.

These controllers support development of multiple monitor designs with high resolution using the USB 3.0 bandwidth.

“Especially the Digital Signage market will participate from the performance improvement, always looking  for low cost solutions running Full HD videos on several screens from one PC,” said Feuchtgruber.

Features include: single IC support for up to two full HD displays, HD video and beyond HD graphics and HDCP 2.0 for protected content playback.

There is integrated multi-channel audio, up to six digital audio channel for 5.1 surround sound, and two analogue audio channels. Also the chips support display standards – DisplayPort, VGA DAC, DVI, HDMI.
