Antenova had a strong year in 20087 with an 85% increase in turnover.
The Cambridge-based mobile phone antenna supplier said it is lining up new product introductions to help meet the challenges of 2009.
“2008 was not without challenges and 2009 is predicted to be a much tougher year,” said Greg McCray, CEO, Antenova.
“2009 will see the launch of even more multi-mode and multi-band antennas and RF antenna modules to address the market trend of converged devices,” said McCray.
Antenova increased its annual units shipped by 35% in 2008. During the year it won vendor approval with Samsung and LG.
The company said it secured over three dozen design wins for GPS Radionova antenna and a significant number of high volume handset and notebook design wins with Tier 1 OEMs.
“Antenova has had an encouraging number of new clients, particularly top Tier 1 OEMs, augmenting our established global customer base. Antenova’s antennas and RF antenna modules can now be found in five of the top handset vendors as well as the top two notebook vendors and a top smart phone vendor,” said McCary.
