South West manufacturers and designers are invited to attend a day of free advice on product design and efficient manufacturing from sustainable business experts, Envirowise.
The seminar, which will take place on 18 November at Church End, Purton, near Swindon, will look at current eco-design best practice including examples from companies Arken and Smurfit Kappa.
This day-long event will also include a workshop for those wanting expert advice on their own product and packaging design, and simple, cost saving, eco-design improvements they can make.
It will also provide hands-on, practical guidance on resource efficient manufacturing processes and will demonstrate how cost savings can be achieved through reductions in assembly time and lower production costs.
“This seminar will allow businesses to take advantage of the free expertise on offer, and gain tailored solutions to help them achieve significant financial benefits," said Jenni Rosser, Envirowise eco design specialist.
The seminar is available free-of-charge to manufacturing businesses in the South West.
