Arrow Electronics is looking for engineers to support growth in its passives, electromechancial and connector distribution business across Europe.

The broadline distributor is looking for 14 technically qualified sales and support staff for its UK business. In total Arrow is looking for 60 staff across its European businesses.

“This major recruitment investment reflects that the UK market, which has been valued by Afdec at $650m in 2006 with 3.7 per cent growth, is one of the largest and most attractive in Europe," said Chris McAneny, marketing director, Arrow Northern Europe.

Arrow's revenues from the PEMCO business in the UK and Ireland was almost $100m last year. "That represents an impressive 33 per cent growth," said McAneny.

The new roles are for field technical sales people and internal product specialists.

Arrow sales of PEMCO products totalled $900m in Europe last year.
