The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network (NanoKTN) is organising a one-day workshop in Nottingham with business figures from nanotechnology SMEs.
"The day will feature presentations on funding opportunities and showcasing experiences of real nanotechnology companies, giving their perspective on their own company histories and outlining some of the challenges they have faced over the years and overcome," said the NanoKTN.
Focussed on the East Midlands, the event has been organised with the University of Nottingham's Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Centre to increase cooperation between those with cash and the nanotech community.
"The Nano Entrepreneurs focus group has been specifically created to focus on business and investment aspects, and brings together SME innovators, academics, end users, investors, consultants, lawyers and accountants to network and exchange advice and information," said the NanoKTN.
Funding and business support presentations will come from the East Midlands Development Agency, the Nottingham Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Centre, University of Nottingham, Catapult Venture Managers and Marmalade Box.
Established by the Government's Technology Strategy Board, the NanoKTN is managed by Centre for Process Innovation.
NanoEntrepreneurs focus group is on Wednesday 19th May at BioCity in Nottingham.
