Light Blue Optics (LBO) has raised $13m in venture funding, which it said will use to market its Gen 1 pico-projectors.
The company said it will also ramp up its Gen 2 product development roadmap for embedded interactive projection devices.

The processor-based system runs a web browser and comms interfaces to connect to the internet. It is likely to be used in electronic point of sale systems applications.
This funding follows the Company’s previous Series ‘A’ extension of $15m in July 2009.
The round was led by DFJ Esprit. Existing investors Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH, Earlybird Venture Capital, Capital-E and NESTA also participated and were joined by new investors Christie Digital Systems Canada Inc. and WhiteGold Fund Management (WhiteGold).
