Silica has supported its Microsoft embedded software offering by teaming up with Microsoft training partner Direct Insight to organise a workshop for potential new developers of Windows XP Embedded.

The one-day course will be rolled-out at various locations across the UK, beginning on July 10th. In addition to technical presentations there will hands-on lab examples to guide delegates through a typical development process.

“This course is rich with technical content and Direct Insight's expertise in creating and delivering this course will prove a great asset to us, and to our customers,” said Laurence Dellicott, technical marketing manager at Silica.

Windows XP Embedded is a version of Microsoft's Windows operating system for embedding in a range of consumer devices running existing Windows applications and drivers.

"Silica understands that development teams place a high value on technical advice and information, and targeted training courses are a key delivery mechanism,” said David Pashley, managing director of Direct Insight.
