ZiiLABS will demonstrate HD video playback for the Android open platform with its ZMS-05 media processor and platforms at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona.
This means that HD video playback up to 1080p on handheld devices will be available on the Android platform.
Its Android-based mobile platform will be available to OEM partners during the summer.
“Last month at the Consumer Electronics Show we launched the ZMS-05 based upon our StemCell Computing architecture. We are now expanding our support beyond our existing SDK to anyone who wishes to leverage the Android platform,” said Tim Lewis, director of marketing, ZiiLABS.
Originally founded in 1994 as 3DLABS, the company re-branded and joined with Creative Labs to form ZiiLABS in January.
