Semiconductor distributor Memec has launched a UK sales division
to provide enhanced sales support and customer service for small to
medium business customers, including original equipment
manufacturers.
Memec Express UK adds to the firm’s divisions with the
same specialist regional purpose launched in the US and China, and
already operating in central Europe.
“Memec has never adopted a ‘one size fits all’
approach towards customer needs,” said Ron Tuckfield, global
director of Memec Express. “By offering targeted services to
this customer base, Memec is raising the bar for customer
satisfaction, and helping to decrease time-to-market and lower
overall costs for customers.”
The division uses regional call centres and can provide instant
access to information regarding pricing, availability and delivery
of specific semiconductors.
It also offers 37 lines from the portfolios of Memec Insight and
Memec Unique, the firm’s “demand creation
divisions” as well as supporting the services of Memec
United, the global logistics and electronics manufacturing services
department.
