Lattice Semiconductor has signed Arrow as a distributor for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The deal confirms Arrow’s support of the FPGA and power controller line following its acquisition of Nu Horizons last year.
Lattice was a key Nu Horizons line.
“Their strong portfolio of innovative PLD, FPGA and unique power management devices will allow Arrow to offer our customers differentiated programmable solutions,” said Brian McNally, president of Arrow Electronics in EMEA.
Like other FPGA suppliers, Lattice has been aggressively looking for ways to widen the market for FPGAs.
This has put a greater emphasis on full system-on-chip products incorporating mixed signal elements as well as logic.
This type of SoC product requires a level of design-in support, arguably even greater than with traditional FPGA lines.
“We are pleased to have Arrow as a distribution partner in Europe,” said Darin G. Billerbeck, Lattice president and chief executive officer.
