ARM wants more money for its cores, CEO Warren East told Reuters in Barcelona.
"As they have more functionality, we are giving more value to our customers, and we expect to be paid more," said East.
ARM has been getting a 1% royalty on the price of a which chip uses one of its cores. However it recently said it would increase this to 1.1% or 1.2% for royalties on Cortex cores.
As well as a royalty, ARM gets a licence fee from the chip manufacturer.
