Elonics has announced that CNet from Taiwan has selected its E4000 multi-standard silicon tuner for the CCT-770 set-top box with Internet Protocol functionality.

CNet’s CCT-770  IP STB supports terrestrial digital TV signals off air as well as internet access.

It has HDMI connectivity (1080p), an IP camera, You Tube, internet radio and video on demand (VOD).

“Together with CNet we have clearly demonstrated that unwieldy canned solutions, are better replaced by the much smaller Elonics silicon tuner,” said David Srodzinski CEO of Elonics.

CNet’s Set Top Box CCT-770 was demonstrated last week at CeBIT 2010.

The E4000 RF tuner was launched last year.

Elonics is a Livingston-based fabless mixed-signal semiconductor company specialising in the design and development of multi-band radio frequency (RF) IC products.
