The SICAS figures for capacity utilisation in the semiconductor industry in Q3 2010 show an industry which was effectively sold out.
Capacity utilisation across the industry as a whole was 95%. For ICs it was 95.2%.
For processes below 60nm, the utilisation rate was 97.2%, and for 60-80nm it was also 97.2%.
For 80nm to 1.2micron processes the utilisation rate was 94.2%.
