NOTE: You will need to register for Electronics Weekly Live for entry into the events
Future Electronics, an Associate Sponsor of Electronics Weekly Live, has announced the opening of registration for its interactive "my-TechnologyAuthority" tutorials to be held at the event, 16-18 June 2009.
Future launched the Future-Blox modular development platform in Europe in 2006 - a technology allowing multiple development boards to be plugged together like building blocks, with the goal of reducing the time design engineers spend on component evaluation and proof-of-concept.
The 'live' interactive tutorials will help OEM design engineers gain insight into the functionality of the Future-Blox systems as well as the devices of the four Future-Blox partners: Fairchild Semiconductor, Freescale Semiconductor, International Rectifier and NXP Semiconductors.
The tutorials:
Embedded MCU Tutorial: This tutorial will provide an introduction to the LongBow concept of modular development systems with insight the board support package and three micro-Blox options: NXP’s ARM-7 and Cortex-M3 MCUs and Freescale’s ColdFire family. Where relevant the boards will be demonstrated with uCLinux running.
Motor Control Tutorial: The PowerDrive concept modular development tools will be shown in conjunction with Fairchild’s 3-phase ACI and International Rectifier’s 3-phase BLDC. The session will demonstrate how easily motor can be configured and optimised using a PC-hosted GUI via a Future-Blox board equipped with a Freescale DSC.
Each tutorial will occur twice per day throughout the EW Live Show and each session is limited to 10 engineers who will receive a workshop pack, certificate and voucher for their own Future-Blox Board.
Pre-registration is recommended and can be completed at: www.my-boardclub.com/ewlive.htm
