LTE test equipment suppliers Aeroflex and NetHawk are jointly offering a system for LTE network capacity testing over RF with real data services and applications.

The integrated test system incorporates Aeroflex’s LTE RF air interface technology with NetHawk’s load test capability.

The EAST500 system is intended to offer end-to-end LTE load testing over RF in both FDD (frequency division duplex) and TDD (time division duplex) environments.

“This addresses the challenge of testing the complete LTE infrastructure prior to network rollout, to ensure its performance under loaded conditions,” said Nick Carter, product manager at Aeroflex Test Solutions.

“Manufacturers building LTE network equipment need a dependable solution for LTE load and capacity testing,” said Jouko Uimonen, business director of simulators, EXFO NetHawk.
