Premier Farnell CEO, Harriet Green has been elected to the board of directors of Emerson, the US-based engineering and services group.
Green has been CEO of Premier Farnell since 2006. She previously held senior international positions with Arrow Electronics where she served as its president of the Asia Pacific business, based in Hong Kong.
Before joining Arrow in 1994, Green was managing director of the UK-based Macro Group, part of Diploma. She graduated with a degree in medieval history from London University.
Emerson's businesses include network power, industrial automation and automotive systems, and its sales in 2007 topped $22bn.
