Lambda expansion creates 40 jobs in DevonRichard BallPower supply maker Lambda has opened an extension to its Ilfracombe plant, which will lead to the creation of 40 jobs, the firm said.
An extra 7,500 square feet of production space has been built to house Lambda’s telecom rectifier power business.
"Recognising the manufacturing excellence of Lambda UK, two years ago Invensys made the decision to begin manufacturing high technology DC-DC power modules in Ilfracombe,” said Dan Squiller, president of the power components division at Invensys, Lambda's parent company.
This has now been extended further with the decision to manufacture telecoms rectifiers in North Devon, ranging from 1.5 to 5.6kW systems.
“Lambda UK's expansion and increased stature within Invensys as a manufacturing centre of excellence is due to a creative and hardworking team of dedicated employees and is recognised by our £1.8m investment in the last 2 years,” Squiller added.
