Parity is creating software development jobs with the opening of an IT design and support centre in Belfast.
The centre is being supported by Invest NI which is investing £630,000 in the project which will create up to 94 new jobs over three years.
The investment will provide an important boost to the Northern Ireland economy, in particular to the IT sector.
According to Alwyn Welch, CEO at Parity, the centre, which will specialise in support for Microsoft systems, will recruit experienced software engineers and local IT graduates.
"A skills gap exists in the market for the supply of high quality services to Microsoft customers looking to improve their productivity and competitiveness,” said Welch.
“Northern Ireland is in close proximity to our target markets within the Republic of Ireland and the rest of the UK, enabling Parity to effectively service customers across a wider area building on our work for clients within Northern Ireland itself,” said Welch.
Paul Rellis, managing director of Microsoft Ireland said the centre will not only develop employees with Microsoft technical skills, but will also provide them with broader business skills.
