Green Hills Software has announced RTOS and virtualisation support for Intel’s latest Atom processor, the E6xx series.
Support includes the Integrity real-time operating system (RTOS), Integrity Secure Virtualization (ISV), Multi integrated development environment (IDE), optimising C/C++ compilers, and DoubleCheck static analyser.
A feature of the Integrity RTOS is its POSIX-conformant interface which can be used to host operating systems such as Linux/Meego, Android, and Windows in secure virtual machines.
According to Jonathan Luse, director of marketing for the Intel Low Power Embedded Products division: “The integrated capabilities in the new Intel Atom processor E6xx series - such as Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and the PCI Express interface – enable developers to utilise the real-time capabilities of Green Hills products.”
