FAW Electronics wins £70,000 funding for product plans Chris DruceFAW Electronics, a designer and manufacturer of electronic control products, has won a £70,000 product award from the Department of Industry (DTI). The SMART award is the firm’s third from the DTI over the last four years.
The Chesterfield-based company said that it will allow for further development and initial marketing for its new product t-mac.
The t-mac is designed to allow companies to control all of their remote assets from a single Internet equipped PC anywhere in the world, which FAW Electronics claims is a first in the UK electronics market.
“We have certainly identified a niche in the UK market for t-mac and I’m certain that this product will be a big seller across the UK, Europe and the US as, unlike its American counterparts, our product cab be purchased at an affordable price,” said Alan Wilkinson, managing director of FAW Electronics.
The t-mac system allows control to be granted to single or multiple users who can then log-on to the system and carry out status for equipment across the globe. The company claims that the system can be tailored to suit any monitor.
