|NewsletterAntenna developer Antenova has named Motorola as the previously anonymous firm it has struck a supply deal with.
The firm said in May last year it had won a contract to supply more than one million of its compact quad-band dielectric antennas to a "top five" mobile handset OEM, now known to be Motorola.
It is the firm’s first deal to supply antennas to mobile handsets. Antenova has a manufacturing partner, Galtronics, which will make the antennas.
“The excellent manufacturing capabilities of Galtronics coupled with their relationship with Motorola was a major factor in our ability to demonstrate Antenova's HDA technology,” said Greg McCray, CEO of Antenova.
