Integrated Device Technology (IDT) has appointed a new vice-president for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations.

Pietro Polidori is promoted to the position from his role as European sales director. He has worked for IDT for 11 years, in a variety of roles.

As v-p of the EMEA operations he will lead the direct sales effort and manage the firm's large network of distributors in the region.

Polidori reports directly to Julian Hawkins, vice-president of worldwide sales.

IDT said that Polidori "will continue to lead the growth of IDT in Europe, with particular emphasis on developing the company’s successful communications and timing product families".

"He has been instrumental in driving the success of the IDT global account programme, which has grown the sales and design wins with major communications OEMs," said IDT.
