LED lighting specialist Cree has signed a global distribution agreement with Arrow Electronics covering its XLamp products.

The agreement is another example of the growing importance of solid-state lighting in the electronic component supply chain. Like other broadline distributors, Arrow has created a specialist business unit to address the solid-state lighting market.
 
Among the Cree products available through Arrow will be the recently released XLamp 7090 XR-E series LED, its first 160 lumen white power LED. The device has a power efficiency of 80 lumens and 70 lumens per watt typical at 350mA.
