Internet learning institute opts for Second Life

The Institute of Digital Learning at the University of Wales, Newport chose the virtual world of Second Life to present its latest work.
“Its rules of unity, respect and inclusion make it a fitting venue for us to share our equality and diversity e-training research and development experiences,” said Matt Chilcott, development manager at the Institute, also known as avatar Casnewydd Maximus.
Second Life, claims Chilcott, already hosts virtual classrooms for Universities including Harvard and the Open University.
