Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA has launched a sales and technical support channel for embedded systems, networking and display products.

Called Avnet Embedded, the channel offering board-level products will initially operate only in Germany, Italy, Spain and Eastern Europe, but will eventually be extended to other major European markets including the UK.

“The market for embedded system products beyond the pure chip level is increasing rapidly. Many customers ask for solutions of higher integration and are starting to work with finished and semi-finished solutions," said Patrick Zammit, president of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA.

The distributor will offer embedded board lines from AAEON, Advantech, aValue, Protech, TQ Components and VIA Technologies.

The netwroking lines will be Atop, Delta Design, Digi International, Lancom, Maxstream, Tibbo, Volktek, with displays from Litemax, Promate (AUO), Sharp, Varitronix and Xiamen.
