Vishay is offering precision resistors with an absolute temperature coefficient of [+/-]0.05ppm/[deg]C.
The VSA101 family hits this figure between 0 and +60[deg]C, and [+/-]0.2ppm/[deg]C from -55 to +125[deg]C referred to +25deg]C.
Resistance change due to self-heating is [+/-]5ppm at rated power, tolerance is [+/-]0.005% and a load life stability is [+/-]0.005% (2,000 hours, +70[deg]C, rated power).
Internal construction has silicone rubber encapsulation to isolates the resistive element from external stresses, surrounded by a moulded case for protection against the environment.
"The device is optimised for signal conditioning and high-precision instrumentation amplifiers for ultra-stable and high-reliability products, in medical, test and measurement, military, aerospace, laboratory, down-hole, and high-end stereo equipment," said the firm.
Power rating is 0.3W at +125[deg]C, and voltage coefficient is under 0.1ppm/V.
Current noise is less that -40dB and thermal EMF is 0.05[micro]V/[deg]C. "The resistor offers a fast rise time of 1.0ns without ringing and features a non-capacitive design with inductance below 0.08[micro]H," said Vishay.
Resistors are available between 5[ohm] and 100k[ohm] "and any value at any tolerance is available through calibration at no additional cost", said the firm.
Production quantities are available now, with lead times of 72 hours for samples, and three weeks for standard orders.
