|NewsletterPowervation, the Irish digital power chip company, has recruited a new member to its executive team, Patrick McNamee, as vice president of operations.
McNamee joined the company from Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) where he was vice president of product engineering.
"Patrick is an outstanding global operations executive with a record of bringing complex ICs through production and out to market with great efficiency," said Powervation's chief executive officer, Antoin Russell.
"Throughout his 15 years in the fabless area, he has leveraged his technical and management expertise to drive operational excellence and production efficiencies in manufacturing concerns that produced more than 1.5 million ICs per day," said Russell.
At Cambridge Silicon, he drove the manufacturing strategy during a time of rapid growth. While there, he established a sophisticated network of global suppliers and implemented industry-leading
quality processes and innovative final test yield-enhancement initiatives.
Before CSR, McNamee spent eight years as a product engineering manager at Dialog Semiconductor and before this he served in a variety of positions at GEC Plessey Semiconductor. McNamee began his career at National Semiconductor.
