|NewsletterWorkLight, an Enterprise 2.0 company, has announced server support for Apple's iPhone, allowing companies to securely conduct business on the mobile phone.
The server allows customers and partners to make purchases and monitor account and transaction activities using the iPhone. This marks the availability of the same WorkLight desktop and web services via mobile phones

Gartner has estimated that the global sales of mobile phone units will reach 1.28 billion in 2008, showing an 11% increase from last year. Apple reported the sale of over one million units during the first few days of availability of the latest iPhone 3G.
The WorkLight Server will now offer security capabilities that specifically target Web 2.0 security risks. This adds inproved phishing prevention mechanisms, including secure provisioning, and an enhanced secure login process.
The iPhone has become the latest addition to the 14 Web 2.0 platforms that WorkLight supports and there are plans to announce support for additional mobile platforms in the future.
