Agilent Technologies is working with satellite and military IC manufacturer Aeroflex Microelectronic Solutions in the development of multi-chip module devices for aerospace, satellite and military applications.

Although known as a test and measurement system firm, Agilent has a microwave component activity based on its proprietary monolithic microwave integrated circuit technology.

The intention is to use this technology in high reliability RF and microwave components for satellite communications systems.

“This partnership reinforces our commitment to the high-reliability market,” said Mark Pierpoint, v-p and general manager, Agilent.
