|NewsletterSpansion has signed a distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics for its ranges of flash memory products.
The Spansion range includes high- and mid-density flash memory ranging from 8Mbit to 1Gbit based on its MirrorBit technology.
“Spansion’s MirrorBit technology pushes the boundaries of flash memory technology forward,” said Mike Scott, Mouser v-p of active products.
According to Peter Stenseth, v-p director of worldwide distribution sales, Spansion: “We look forward to working together to offer the Spansion MirrorBit NOR GL family of 3V flash memory and the Spansion MirrorBit SPI FL family of serial flash memory to Mouser’s broad base of customers.”
Mouser sells via a 2,100 page catalogue and on its website. It ships around the world from its 432,000 sq. ft. facility in Mansfield, Texas.
TTI, which owns Mouser, has recently described how its links with the catalogue distributor it acquired in 2000 are strengthening its position in the wider components market by linking the companies' different product strategies.
"Mouser's model is for rapid product introductions across a broad line of products. What TTI can do for that is meet the fulfillment demand," Andrew Kerr, European marketing director for passives and discretes at TTI told Electronics Weekly.
