Murata Power Solutions adds to distribution network with Digi-Key and Anglia Components in the UK and Ireland.

The Wisbech-based distributor will offer the supplier’s range of DC-DC converters, AC-DC power supplies, magnetics, data acquisition devices and panel meters.

Murata believes its customers in the UK and Ireland will benefit from strengthened local design-in support.

“We have always been impressed by the strength of Anglia Components in terms of their market knowledge, commitment and professionalism,” said Mark Hillier, distribution account manager, EMEA, Murata Power Solutions.

This is Murata Power Solutions’ second distribution deal in a just a few weeks. Last month, it signed a global distribution agreement with online and catalogue firm Digi-Key.

Under the agreement, Digi-Key will stock Murata Power Solutions’ AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC converters, digital panel meters and magnetic devices.

“Today’s engineers require leading-edge, power products that are available anywhere on the planet in the shortest possible time. Digi-Key’s dominance in the engineering community enhances Murata Power Solutions’ value to the customer in every major market,” said Bret Murphy, director of distribution sales, Murata Power Solutions.
