Vishay has introduced a trimmer potentiometer with a +/-25ppm/°C through-wiper temperature coefficient and <0.05% backlash.

The 22mm long lead screw 1285G family have an end-to-end coefficient of +/-5ppm/°C from -55 to 125°C (25°C referred), and a load life stability of 0.1% typical under full rated power at 25°C for 2,000h.

Inside is a multi-fingered noble metal wiper engaging a planar surface of etched foil.

"Their virtually backlash-free adjustment mechanism makes them easy to set quickly and accurately, and maintains that setting through temperature cycling and vibration, as well as thermal and mechanical shock," claims Vishay.

Values from 10Ω to 20k are available, with a resistance tolerances of +/-5%.

Power rating is 750mW at 25°C, adjustment is 24-28 turns from end to end and electrostatic discharges protection is up to 25kV.

Samples and production quantities are available now, with lead times from four weeks.
