IndigoVision has given a slightly more upbeat view of trading in
the second quarter of the year.
The Edinburgh-based developer of Internet based security systems
did warn, however, that business confidence was still patchy and
could continue to affect sales in some markets.
At IndigoVision's annual general meeting being held this morning,
Hamish Grossart, chairman said that in the three months to 31
October 2009, sales overall were marginally ahead of the
corresponding quarter last year.
"Strong year on year growth in the UK, Asia Pacific, and Latin
America was offset by lower sales in North America (which had a
particularly buoyant first quarter last year), while sales in
continental Europe maintained last year's figures," said
Grossart.
According to Grossart, the outlook for the second quarter is
more encouraging, but the patchy business confidence could affect
sales in some markets.
"We have carried out some re-phasing of planned research and
development overhead increases, and will continue this until a more
consistent pattern of sales growth is evident,' said Grossart.
