Cinterion Wireless Modules and GTT are working together to
develop PCB-mountable wireless modules for M2M communications
systems.
As part of the collaboration Cinterion will offer GTT's passive
subsystem integration systems for M2M vertical markets including
smart meter reading, telematic systems and asset tracking.
Cinterion provides the RF elements which
GTT will offer in a module
design service which includes block modelling, rapid prototyping,
EMI review and IP-rating design.
"With a strategic global cooperation of wireless modules market
leader Cinterion we can jointly provide customers with M2M hardware
solutions that cannot be matched in terms of quality, reliability
and a short development timeline,” said Kieron Malloy, Technical
Director from GTT.
“With this collaboration, Cinterion is happy to further expand its
partner network in order to simplify the complete value chain,
especially with regards to easy integration,” said Lars Thyroff,
chief marketing officer,
Cinterion Wireless
Modules.
Cinterion’s modules are used to provide embedded M2M communications
in automatic meter reading (AMR), security, remote maintenance and
control and point of sales.
