Analog Devices (ADI) says it has completed operational improvements at its plants in Wilmington, Massachusetts and Limerick, Ireland.

The Wilmington facility, which manufactures RF, linear and other analogue products, has assumed production of ADI's MEMS 
products.
The Limerick fab has transitioned all production to the company's 8-inch wafer fab.
The resulting capacity expansion and operational efficiencies reinforce ADI's manufacturing capacity for high-performance analogue process technologies, including MEMS, CMOS, BiCMOS, BiPolar and SiGe processes.
High-performance analogue requires proprietary analogue and mixed signal process technology, packaging and test., however ADI also out-sources to foundries to try and keep lead-times short.
'With significant finished goods and die bank inventory, lead times are 4 to 8 weeks for 98 percent of ADI products, including through distributors', says ADI.
